What We Believe• The Word of God • Fundamental Doctrine • Repentance and Conversion • Divine Healing • Holiness The Word of GodWe believe the Bible to be inspired of God; the infallible Word of God. (II Timothy 3:16) The
Bible is the only God-given authority which man possesses; therefore,
all doctrine, faith, hope, and all instruction for the church must be
based upon, and harmonize with, the Bible. It is to be read and studied
by all men everywhere, and can only be clearly understood by those who
are anointed by the Holy Spirit. (I John 2:27, II Peter 1:20, 21)
Fundamental DoctrineWe
believe in the Bible standard of salvation, which is repentance,
baptism by immersion in water in the name of the Lord Jesus Christ for
the remission of sins, the baptism of the Holy Ghost with the initial
sign of speaking with other tongues as the Spirit gives the utterance,
and the perfecting of holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord.
Repentance and ConversionPardon
and forgiveness of sins is obtained by genuine repentance, a confessing
and forsaking of sins. We are justified by faith in the Lord Jesus
Christ. (Romans 5:1) John the Baptist preached repentance, Jesus
proclaimed it, and the Apostles emphasized it to both Jews and Gentiles.
(Acts 2:38, Acts 11:18, Acts 17:30)
Divine HealingJames
wrote in his Epistle to all the churches: " Is any sick among you? Let
him call for the elders of the church; and let them pray over him,
anointing him with oil in the name of the Lord: 15. And the prayer of
faith shall save the sick, and the Lord shall raise him up; and if he
have committed sins, they shall be forgiven him. 16. Confess your faults
one to another, and pray one for another, that ye may be healed. The
effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much." (James
5:14-16)
HolinessGodly
living should characterize the life of every child of the Lord, and we
should live according to the pattern and example given in the Word of
God. (Titus 2:11-12, I Peter 2:21-23, Hebrews 12:14, I Peter 1:15-19)
